With the precise timing of their movement dependent on rainfall patterns, every moment is filled with anticipation. Join us on an extraordinary adventure and discover the true essence of Africa.
Activity: Safari days!
Each day on safari in Africa is a magical experience, whether you’re exploring the savanna on foot or in a 4x4 vehicle in search of the Big 5 or taking to the sky in a hot-air balloon to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Every single day is steeped in the promise of a unique adventure and cherished memories.
Although each day is unpredictable to a certain extent, based on the time of year or location, there is a general format or schedule that safaris tend to follow, but, as a rule, safaris do follow a familiar rhythm that combines thrilling game viewing with ample time to relax in between—a dream vacation in anyone’s book. One rule of thumb is that there are usually two game drives a day: one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon, when animals are at their most active.

OLMARA CAMP
Camp Overview
Olmara is well-known for its stunning big cats and serves as a wildlife photographer's paradise in the Serengeti wildness. The camp is exposed to the comings and goings of wildlife, giving guests a true sense of being one with nature. Aside from cheetahs, the area is teeming with lions, leopards, servals, and other animals, giving tourists an unparalleled view of predator and prey activity.
Solar power provides lighting and electricity for camp operations that adhere to eco-friendly procedures. The tented apartments blend effortlessly into an ancient acacia grove, providing views of vast grassy plains and the Ngare Nanyuki river valley, which is peppered with time-weathered rocky outcrops.
The camp is situated in a unique section of the Serengeti: pristine, untamed, and isolated. Because of its distant location, the evenings offer a borderless show of an infinite night sky, emphasised by the Milky Way. The Serengeti's Soit le Motonyi region is situated on the eastern plains. A breathtaking display of predators and predator activity in a remote location. Game drives, walking safaris, fly camping, and hot air balloon rides. Sleep under the African stars in a stargazer tent.
The dining and lounge areas are located in the heart of the camp, around a bonfire. A Wi-Fi connection allows you to share your experiences with the outside world in real time.
African art surrounds the spacious mess tent, and cosy lounging areas provide a welcome respite from the heat of the day or space to reflect on a deeper appreciation of the Serengeti. There is a well-stocked library with wildlife and environmental titles. A waiter is on call to bring you a delicious Gin & Tonic or an ice-cold lager.
Olmara provides wildlife drives, walking safaris, stargazing beds, fly camping, bush lunches, and hot air balloon rides. Game drives are conducted twice daily across the savanna of Soit le Motonyi and along the acacia forests that surround the undulating plains. Expect to see the big cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Serval, elephant, giraffe, zebra, warthog, and hyena are some of the other common animals encountered.
Walking safaris in a remote river valley are available to tourists aged 12 and up. Walks bring you close to everything huge and little, including hippo pods in river pools, fig-encrusted kopjes, and insect life.
Fly camping is an overnight experience that immerses visitors in the wilderness with a basic camp, allowing them to hear the sounds of the African savannah at night and admire the gorgeous African skies. Over a campfire at night, they share stories about their adventures in Africa.
A back-to-basics camp does not imply lack of comfort. A few touches of luxury are required, such as luxurious duvets and down pillows, substantial and nutritious meals, and a refreshing beer or glass of wine. A fly-camping trip will transport you deep into the forest for a night or two. They do the majority of activities on foot, which allows you to experience the bush personally.

- Before embarking on an international trip, it is important to check your destination’s passport requirements to ensure that you meet them.
- Having a certain number of blank passport pages is a mandatory rule for some territories, along with any necessary travel documents such as an eVisa or Travel Health Certificate.
- Each border authority has its own passport requirements for travelers. The number of compulsory blank pages depends on the individual territory.
- Countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Morocco only require visitors to have 1 blank page to enter.
- Others, for example Germany, India, and South Africa, follow a 2-page regulation.
- Some African destinations need at least 3 blank pages, such as Botswana, Mozambique, and Zambia.
- There are even some territories, including Brunei and Namibia, that demand a minimum of 6 empty passport pages.
- If you fail to meet these requirements, you could be refused permission to board by an airline or refused entry at border control.
What if I am visiting multiple countries?
- If a trip consists of visiting multiple countries, it is necessary to add the requirements of each country together.
- For example, if you are traveling to somewhere that requires 1 page, then continuing to somewhere that requires 2, you will need to have a total of 3 empty passport pages.
Can I Add Passport Pages?
- Most countries do not allow passport holders to add pages. The United States, for example, previously provided this service but no longer do. The same applies for the UK.
- In most cases, it is necessary to apply for a new passport if there are no more blank pages left.
